Sound Replacement Film

  One thing I really enjoyed with this film was being creative. When making every single sound, I felt like it was a scavenger hunt, looking for what object could make the best sound. It was fun to watch too because it was very interesting seeing how the sounds really did match up well with the footage. I would 100% do something like this again. Overall, it was just a fun and creative way to be myself as I both had to edit the sounds all together, which is one of my favorite things to do in film, as well as making sounds, which I also love to do as I like to make my own music. This was just a fun experience and one I would love to do again!

Editing Practice

 Editing Practice When working on the film, it was interesting to edit because although I read the script, I was still confused as to how the film worked. The acting was very poor and there were many clips of unused footage. It became difficult to edit because each video was about 10 minutes long, but there was only about 1 minute of actual footage per video.       When I was planning the editing of this film, I tried to split it up into two parts. The first part was the killer chasing the girl and the second part was the girl waking up taking the very realistic dream in. It was difficult to figure out where each video and shot should be placed, but after reading the script and watching all the videos, I was able to get a better sense of the theme and where each shot should be placed.      Overall this was an interesting film to work on, but I would prefer not to work on these in the future.
