When working on the film, it was interesting to edit because although I read the script, I was still confused
as to how the film worked. The acting was very poor and there were many clips of unused footage. It became difficult to edit because each video was about 10 minutes long, but there was only about 1 minute of actual footage per video.  

    When I was planning the editing of this film, I tried to split it up into two parts. The first part was the killer chasing the girl and the second part was the girl waking up taking the very realistic dream in. It was difficult to figure out where each video and shot should be placed, but after reading the script and watching all the videos, I was able to get a better sense of the theme and where each shot should be placed. 

    Overall this was an interesting film to work on, but I would prefer not to work on these in the future. Although these types of films are less work, I wasn't as creative with the editing as I would have liked as I was not the one who filmed the actual film. It was good practice and it really made my brain think where each shot should go and where it would fit, but next time I would prefer to be more creative with my films.

  Tennis Documentary By Dylan Grodner, Starring Nicole Dgani     Nicole and I are both very good friends and we wanted to work on a film together. Turns out, although we are very good friends, we didn't know each other's favorite hobby. It ended up taking some time to think of what we like to do and what we could make a film on. Art Show Blog Post

 Overall, this was one of my favorite films I have made this year. I think working with a larger group made it a lot more fun as we were able to generate more ideas and be more creative. We worked really well together and never stopped brainstorming ideas. We were able to use many different shot types and techniques to better improve how this film came out.   In this shot, we decided to show certain lighting. We wanted to make it seem as though there was an interrogation going on. We thought that it would be interesting to shine a light on one side of the boy's face as if he was being interrogated. This came at very well and I am glad we chose to be creative with this shot.  In this shot, I chose to change the lighting of the film as it was a flashback memory. I tried to dim the lighting, and make it seem more like a memory in the past, rather than a live event. The Stalker

I practiced many different types of film during this assignment, some of them being cutting on action and focusing on the eight different angles. I used these types of film, because I think that they went really well with the type of film that I was doing. I think that the result came out very good because I wanted to make a creepy film, but at the same time a film where you could tell what was going on without any dialogue, which I think I accomplished. I also really liked making this film because I really felt like I was a real movie director and there were some points where I wanted to film even more and make it like a real long movie. I would next time maybe add some dialogue to make it look more like a real movie. As I was saying before, I am happy that I was able to create a film that is understandable without any dialogue, although I think it would have helped.
