Who Will Win The NBA Finals?

Image
This exercise was to show people talking through using the 180 degree rule. This is when you keep your camera on the same line, only moving the camera by 30 degrees when people are talking. This is a very good way to exemplify conversations when filming because it allows you to focus on the exact person that is talking. Overall, I enjoyed making this film, but it wasn't too action related, which I prefer better. Although, I do think if I ever make a movie of my own I will 100% be using this technique. This is my YouTube video:  https://youtu.be/eGGRgzarw9I

Tying Shoes By Dylan Grodner

This was a very fun project to make because I felt that I was almost like a cameraman that you would see filming a real movie. I always see cutting on action in movies and think that the transitions are pretty cool. I really like how the angle of the video might be at one point and then move to another angle in literally one second. I felt like I was doing this here, so I really enjoyed making this film. My most successful part of the process was finding different angles to film, that way the audience would get different perspectives of the film. The part of the project that was least successful and that I can improve upon are the transitions. I want my transitions in the future to be very clear and not just from one video to another. During this project, I learned how to cut on action. I learned the different angles and aspects of the video that you want to try and film when using cutting on action. All in all I really enjoyed making this film and thought that cutti...

Cutting On Action Video By Dylan Grodner

1. One example of cutting on action in this video is when he raises his bottle because there are two angles of him raising the bottle in one full motion. In the first picture you can see that he is holding up the bottle. In the second picture he is still holding up the bottle but the camera angle has changed.  2. Another example of cutting on action in this video is when we see the man on the top of the stares looking at the street and then he walks down the stairs and waives at the bus driver. 3. Another example of cutting on action is when we see the bus drive by the man and then we see it turn the corner with the people inside. 4.  Another example of cutting on action is when he is typing and then the camera shows the computer he is typing on. This makes the moment more intense.

Hard Work Pays Off

While I was planning for my film, Hard Work Pays Off, I first thought of doing something that was simple and basic. I started coming up with some slides and as I finished my third slide I could tell I wasn't happy with my idea. I wanted a film that was engaging and interesting. I wanted something different, but that was also relevant to many peoples lives right now. I thought "how can I make this interesting but also include a realistic scenario".  I finally came up with an idea. As we know, Coronavirus is impacting many peoples lives right now, but one thing that doesn't always come to mind when thinking about this virus are sports. There are some people that like to play sports just for fun, but then there are other people that really want to succeed in sports, and maybe even make collage or pro ball. This is affecting many kids that have worked extremely hard to get where they are in sports, and now their chances may get ruined. I wanted to make a film that exempli...
